RIP Oscar

Our lovely  piggy with the silly white leg died suddenly  leaving his mate feeling sad & lonely.

Meet the new guys!

Went to a breeders today and picked up these little guys, Algy (smooth grey) & Iggles (scruffy one) as friends for Ernest. The all get on like a house on fire and are curled up together contentedly munching hay. Ernest is much happier now he's not lonely anymore.

The happy gang!

Algy, Iggles & Ernest.

So, whose idea was it to get TWO more piggies?

The big softy!

Looking good!

Really taking shape now! Clever old Dad!

Nearly Done!

Lots has been happening since the last post, Littlebean's room now has a lovely wooden floor, a big white cot & Dad has finally been able to start working his magic painting Beatrix Potter murals on the walls.  I'm feeling as big as a house and the final count down to meeting our lovely baby has begun! Ollie is becoming an expert in all things baby thanks to NCT ante natal classes, he's going to be a brilliant Daddy.

and now this!

The Garden

Our garden is finally starting to bloom with summer flowers, once the heaps of rubbish have been removed tomorrow morning, I'l update with some proper pictures, but here are some close ups for now.

Beautiful tea rose

The rose Lizzy bought me for my graduation two years ago - the many blue tits & coal tits that frequent the garden keep it free from bugs & blooming opulently.

Pet Robin

We have a family of robins in residence. Ollie & I spent a delightful morning watching the parents teaching their 3 young to fly & forage for insects. It was a magical process to watch, we're so lucky having so much life on our doorstep - I hope we can be as diligent parents as these little guys are!

Good old Mum grouting & painting again!

My lovely

Luke's Wedding

My cousin Luke got married on 9th June. It was a beautiful day & a really lovely wedding. I managed to stay out 'til late which was really nice - haven't been out properly since long before Christmas and I'm proud to say that I managed to do (a 7.5 months pregnant version of) The Twist with my uncle!

Nearly Grandma & The Great Aunts-to be!
