What an eventful time we had last night! Tucked up in bed, just drifting off to sleep when we heard a scuffling sound and then big, heavy boot steps thudding across the roof. I sat bolt upright an d stated the glaring obvious "That is a man!" and so, the police were called and arrived within minutes but not before the intruder had been disturbed and stampeded back across the roof giving Ollie the chance to get a good look at him. So, our house was full of men in uniform (hee hee) and they had the area cordoned off in minutes and the naughty man was caught cowering in a nearby garden by a big, hairy policedog. Very impressed with the swift response by PC Plod! There have been a spate of break ins through roof lights so hopefully this is the culprit.
So that was our eventful, if rather bizarre, sleepless night last night. (School of Burglary, Lesson #1 - If you are going to run across roofs at night wearing heavy boots, do not pick the one with the paranoid pregnant lady sleeping underneath.)

He must be pretty brazen to clophop across a roof which surely must have people beneath it!!! Must be a real nutter!
